Members of the LHS LEAF Club recently received a check from the Libertyville Jewel for $848.50. Through a partnership with Jewel that began last October, LHS LEAF students have helped distribute recyclable bags to Jewel shoppers. When customers use the bags, Jewel donates five cents to the school. The students were joined at the presentation by members of Jewel management, Libertyville Mayor Terry Weppler, and LEAF sponsor Dave Lapish.
